When Laura messaged me to discuss about booking a Fresh 48 session and we spoke over the phone, I felt an immediate connection. This baby girl story was so special and her story needed to be documented for sure!
At first, she was hesitant about doing a maternity session, I asked her why and she told me she didn’t wasn’t sure about the outdoor look. I immediately suggested a lifestyle maternity session and they loved the idea! This type of session has been becoming very popular among my clients. It is a very intimate setting and capturing these moments are priceless!
This session took place at her home in Basking Ridge, NJ. When you book a Lifestyle Maternity session with me, we agree on a date for me to come for a Style and Concept consultation. My goal as a NJ maternity photographer is to create the perfect setting for your session and to make your vision come true. In order for my clients to feel relaxed and comfortable at the time of the session, it is very important that I meet my clients in their own element. Get to know each other and set expectations for the session. I customize the session flow to each one of my clients and the last thing I was is for anybody to feel uncomfortable or awkward. Coming to you and going through every detail before the session helps for everything to run smoothly.
The session started with sexy more intimate shots as you can see, they are such a hot and cute couple!!! The love they feel for each other is undeniable.
After these shots, we moved on to include the things that meant the most for them and that described their journey waiting for baby Violet.
Laura asked me if she could include her mom since she was also part of their journey being there to support her along the way. I of course agreed and told her it was a great idea! I always ask if they want to include children’s’ books and they happened to have Max’s favorite book from his childhood, Corduroy. Enough said that he broke down reading it. I think we all cried at the end of the session. Adding Violet’s sonogram images was a nice touch that Laura suggested. Those images ended up being one of my favorites!
This maternity session is definitely one to remember. Getting to know my clients, their vision and ultimately work together with them to make it come true is what moves me. Making my clients happy knowing that they will cherish these images forever is what pushes me to keep doing the things the way I do them. For some, connecting with their clients is too much work or something unnecessary and I cannot disagree more!
All this is part of the photography experience and service that I offer my clients. I always call them the LFJP family and I treat them like such.
