It’s Time to Plan Your [Baby’s Photo Journey] | New Jersey Maternity Photography
So many moments in our culture have been reduced to ‘one-click-and-done’ memories where they live in our phones or on our hard drives never to be seen again. I believe that the moments we capture deserve to be displayed proudly and live in your home instead of in the cloud.
My approach to each session is individualized and begins with an In-home Style & Concept Consultation. I’ll come right to your home so I can get the look and feel of your design aesthetic from the colors you love in your home to what your furniture looks like.
I really enjoy getting to know you, your style, and your family so I get the bigger picture (pun intended) before I ever lift the camera. From helping you with your wardrobe to suggesting places in your home that you could feature wall art, I want you to lean into my expertise so we can create some amazing photos you will love for a lifetime.
We start with a maternity session at my studio in Lincoln Park, at an outdoor location, or in your home. I really view my role as one of a family documentarian for you, and what better place to start than with the maternity session so that you have photos of that amazing time before your family grew.
Once baby arrives, we plan for a newborn session within the first few weeks of life, and we talk about sessions through the first year of life. While there are no “rules” about when photos can be done, most clients like to do photos at three months, six months, nine months, and then the iconic 1 year photos.
After the session, it’s time for your reveal! I’m not going to content to dump a bunch of pictures online and leave you overwhelmed on what to choose and what would look good on your walls. We meet at the studio or your home, and that’s when the magic happens.
This part is as important as the session because the vision we had together becomes a treasured wall art concept or a gorgeous leather album that will become a family heirloom. Along with your art, you’ll also receive the digital files for archiving your memories.
Over the years, I’ve been so lucky to call my clients friends as well. When I see a new baby is going to be welcomed into the family, I’m as excited to meet the newest little family member as I am to photograph them!
Your family and a moment captured is what I thrive on, and I can’t wait to tell your story. Let’s chat more about your vision and make some beautiful art that captures your memories.
