Twin newborn sessions are extra special…as a twin mom myself I understand this special bond and all the emotions and feels mama id going through!
Being able to photograph two brand new babies in one session is such a unique and memorable experience! We have been blessed to work with multiples, multiple times. It is very different from a solo session which is why you need a good plan in place! Our Northern NJ studio is packed & prepared for studio style, but we are also travel to your home for a lifestyle shoot or a Fresh 48 at the hospital!
Since the babies have a higher chance of being born early, we have are flexible on session dates. We are a low volume studio to ensure every single client receives a more personal approach and to design each session with the utmost attention to detail. Twins have a higher chance to need some time in the NICU if they are early or like in my experience, one baby came home first while the other stayed 5 more days in, so even when the babies don’t come home right away. We will be patient, understanding and ready for when they are able to come home!
Most moms are typically recovering from a c-section after carrying two beautiful babies. We get how that can be challenging which is why we are cautious about her holding two babies for the family photos portion. It’s best for her to hold just one, while another family member in the photos holds the other. Safety and comfort is most important to us, not just with newborn but for everyone. We are here for you!
All HANDS ON DECK!
Each baby usually has a different personality already, which comes through and keeps us very entertained! It is definitely more work to handle two when it comes to feeding, wrapping and posing. One twin may be more awake, fussy or crying and even wake up the other one. This is why it’s essential for us to have the extra hands of an assistant on deck for this kind of session, teamwork makes the dreamwork!
